Arisa White Reads Her Poetry at "Queer Is Black"

Poet Arisa White will read from her collection Hurrah's Nest at "Queer Is Black," the February Perfectly book reading at Books Inc. Castro Mon., Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. White received her M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a Cave Canem Fellow and a 2013-14 recipient of an Investing in Artist Grant from the Center for Cultural Innovation. She is a B.F.A. faculty member at Goddard College and a regional representative for Nepantla: A Journal Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color.  Her other books include Post Pardon, A Penny Saved, and the forthcoming you're the most beautiful thing that happened.
